How to Play Solitaire

The goal is to move all 52 cards to the foundation piles, sorted by suit from Ace to King.

Basic Rules

In the tableau, cards are built downward in alternating colors: red on black, or black on red.

Only a King can be moved to an empty tableau column.

The foundation piles are built upward in the same suit: Ace, 2, 3, and so on up to King.

Moving Cards

Click a card to select it, then click a valid pile to move it.

You can also drag and drop cards.

Double-click a valid top card to move it automatically to the foundation.

Full visible sequences in the tableau can be moved together, as long as the sequence follows the rules.

Stock and Waste

Click the stock pile to draw cards to the waste pile.

Only the top card in the waste pile can be moved.

Buttons and Features

New Game starts a new game in the selected mode.

Undo reverses your previous move.

Auto makes one obvious move to the foundation, if possible.

Draw 1 / Draw 3 changes how many cards are drawn from the stock pile.

Give Up ends the game as a loss.

Redeal: Unlimited / Limited 3 changes how many times the waste pile can be turned back into the stock pile.

Dark turns dark mode on or off.

Game Modes

Classic is the standard Solitaire mode.

Timed focuses on completing the game as quickly as possible.

Combo rewards efficient play and strong move combinations.

Daily Challenge gives everyone the same seeded card layout for the selected date.

Daily Challenge

You can choose the date you want to play.

The selected date decides the card layout, so the same date gives the same deal for everyone.

Daily Challenge uses unlimited redeals.

Scoring

Move to tableau: +3

Move to foundation: +10

Reveal a hidden tableau card: +5

Draw from stock: -1

Win bonus: +50

When the Game Ends

You win when all 52 cards have been moved to the foundation piles.

You lose when no legal moves remain, or when you press Give Up.

When the stock is empty and all tableau cards are face up, the game will try to auto-finish the remaining cards to the foundation.

Leaderboard

After a finished game, you can save your name and result.

Saved results include score, number of moves, time, and whether the game was solved or not solved.

The top 5 results are shown first, with an option to show all results.

Mobile and Touch

Solitaire supports touch drag-and-drop on both tableau piles and foundation piles.

I can’t hear any sounds – what should I do?

Make sure sound is enabled in your browser and device settings.
The game uses short shuffle, flip, and victory sounds for better feedback during play.

How can I appear on the leaderboard?

Your name, score, and completion time are saved automatically when you win a round.
Only your best games will appear on the global leaderboard for each mode.
